How long does a saddle fitting appointment take?
Most appointments take between 1 and 2 hours, depending on the number of saddles being assessed and whether adjustments are required.
how often should my saddle be checked?
Most horses benefit from having their saddles checked every 6 months. More frequent checks are recommended for young horses, horses in work changes, after injury, or if your horse's weight or muscle shape changes.
Do I need to ride during the appointment?
Yes, where possible. Assessing the saddle while you are riding provides valuable information about how it performs in motion and allows any adjustments to be made more accurately.
What do I need to have ready for the visit?
Please ensure your horse is clean and dry. You will need your usual bridle, girth, and any pads you use, as well as a safe, level area for assessing the horse's conformation and movement.
Are onsite adjustments possible?
Yes, many minor flocking adjustments and gullet bar changes can be made onsite during your visit. More complex repairs or full reflocks may require the saddle to be taken to the workshop.
do you cover my area?
I am based in Worcestershire and cover parts of the surrounding counties including Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, and Shropshire. Travel fees may apply depending on your distance.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment is required on the day of the appointme. I accept bank transfers, debit/credit cards via a mobile terminal during the visit, or cash.
Are you qualified and insured?
Yes. I am fully qualified, insured, and committed to on going professional development to ensure the highest standards of saddle fitting. I am also listed on the equine fitters directory.
Do you offer group booking discounts?
Yes, travel fees can be shared between multiple clients at the same location. Please mention group bookings when inquiring for a breakdown of costs.
